Memorial Day Service

5/28/2012

Texas National Cemetery Foundation’s program is on Monday, 28 May, at 11:00 AM.  The Cemetery Foundation is very appreciative of our Scouts’ help.  We will assist in marking the reserved seating area, acting as Ushers, handing out the Ceremony Programs, distributing bottled water, and other duties as required.
The Ceremony and our service provide an excellent opportunity for our Scouts to learn about and honor our servicemen and women who have served and sacrificed for our Country.
Please let Mr. Roop know if you can attend and sign up on the sign-up roster that will be posted at the tables at our troop meetings starting next Monday.  We will probably have some other Scout units helping with us, but there is plenty of service work for all to do.
Scouts will need to be in very good uniform appearance in their complete Scout uniform and conduct themselves appropriately as they are representing themselves, the Troop, and the Boy Scouts of America.
