Eagle Scout is the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouting program of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). Since its introduction in 1911, the Eagle Scout rank has been earned by more than 2 million young men (3% of all boy scouts). The title of Eagle Scout is held for life, thus giving rise to the phrase "Once an Eagle, always an Eagle".  Eagle Scouts are leaders in their troops and their communities.  Their personal commitment and demonstrated leadership skills make Eagle Scouts sought after by colleges, businesses and the military.  Information about Eagle scholarship opportunities can be found through the National Eagle Scout Association.
